The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) have jointly amended recently, based on development and characteristics of China’s service trade in the last two years, the Statistical System of International Service Trade released in August 2012. The amendment is aimed at establishing a statistical system of service trade that accords with international rules, and carrying out statistics on trade service scientifically and efficiently to promote healthy development of service trade.
The amending mainly includes three areas. Firstly, related contents in “service import and export” are adjusted. Secondly, the “import and export of education service” in the former basement statistical form is divided into “export of education service” and “import of education service”, and transformed into a comprehensive form. Thirdly, some contents in the statistical form of movement of natural persons are adjusted.
